In Stavropol, doctors operate on student detained on suspicion of aiding terrorism

Magomed Aliev, a student of a Stavropol higher school, detained on suspicion of aiding terrorism, has undergone a surgery. Doctors removed a pen out of his eye socket, which was completely inside his head.

Aminat Alieva, a sister of the 22-year-old Magomed, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that her brother was detained on November 21 in front of her eyes.

"In the morning, we were on the way to my workplace at a dentist's office. At the door, a huge man was waiting for us. When we came up, without saying a word, he began beating Magomed and threw him to the ground. I tried to stop him – he threw me away. Then, more men appeared – all in civilian clothes. They tied my brother up, put him into the van and drove away," Aminat Alieva told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to her story, for a few days relatives could not find Magomed. "I reported the kidnapping to the police and FSB; I kept calling them every day, but no one said anything to me. Only on Monday (November 24), we learned that he was in Stavropol and suspected of terrorism; and the court ruled to place him into custody. Then, we found out that he was in the intensive care unit – his eye was knocked out, and his brain was damaged," said Aminat Alieva.

Aliev was successfully operated on, but, according to doctors, his condition is very grave, Aminat Alieva told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
