Brothers of Pakhrudin Magomedov who disappeared in Makhachkala were killed by law enforcers, their uncle asserts

The uncle of Pakhrudin Magomedov, who disappeared in Makhachkala on November 25, denies his links with the armed underground.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Pakhrudin Magomedov, a resident of the settlement of Tyube, located near Makhachkala, disappeared on 25 November; and on November 26 his family turned to the police and the republic's prosecutor's office; however, Magomedov's whereabouts is still unknown.

Today, Sirazhudin Magomedov, the uncle of the missing person, has addressed the HRC "Memorial" with his statement saying that Pakhrudin was not associated with the armed underground and never had conflicts with law enforcement bodies.

He added, however, that Pakhrudin's two brothers – Aslambek and Magomed – were members of a militants' grouping and were killed on September 15, 2012, during a special operation in the village of Khutrakh, Tsuntin District.

Pakhrudin Magomedov's relatives suggest that he could be kidnapped by power agents, and, as it became known to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent from his uncle, in the near future are going to hire an advocate.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed at the Kirov ROVD (District Interior Division) of Makhachkala that Magomedov had not been brought there; and his family did not apply with a written statement to the police.
