Five people killed in special operation in Dagestan
Five militants have been killed today during a special operation in the village of Gurbuki, Karabudakhkent district of Dagestan, said the Russia's National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC).
This morning a private house was blocked in Gurbuki. The negotiations resulted in the release of two women with children, while the armed men, who were in the house, refused to surrender and opened fire, after which power agents launched a shootout.
In the course of the armed clash, five men blocked in the house were neutralized, the RIA "Novosti" reports with reference to the NAC.
Special rapid reaction forces of the FSB and MIA arrived to the private house in Gurbuki and blocked it after the FSB agents received information that there was a group of militants hiding in the house, the "Chernovik" reports.
So far, there is no information about the identity of the casualties. Earlier, a source from the Dagestani MIA reported that the owner of the house was among the casualties, who refused to go out with women and children.
