Court dealing with the case of Imam of Kislovodsk bans videoing the trial
On Thursday, December 18, the Predgorny District Court of the Stavropol Territory rejected the petition asking to allow the video and photo filming of the trial of the Imam of Kislovodsk Kurman-Ali Baichorov.
The petition was put forward by the advocate Adam Abubakarov and rejected by Judge Popov, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
It was reported that Kurman-Ali Baichorov was accused of illegal possession of drugs, but the Imam refuses to plead guilty and demands a withdrawal of the court; while the state prosecutor demands to find Baichorov guilty and sentence him to 5 years in prison and a fine of 100,000 roubles.
