Three houses of militants' relatives already demolished in Gudermes, locals report
In the city of Gudermes power agents have demolished three private houses owned by families of the members of the armed underground. Earlier it was reported about demolition of two houses.
Local residents report that houses were demolished together with foundations, and that no people were inside.
"Within four days power agents demolished three houses. Two of them were inhabited by families of the militants killed in Grozny on December 4, and the third one – by relatives of the young man, who is said to be among militants," said a resident of Gudermes named Shakhid.
The demolition of houses was confirmed by the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial". The destroyed houses belonged to Idrisov, Gekhaev and Saidalov families, said a source from the city administration.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports, referring to the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) that among the 11 militants killed on December 4 in Grozny there were two natives of Gudermes – Temirkhan Idrisov, 24, and Yusup Gekhaev.
It's a targeted action, approved by the republic's leadership, the head of a local NGO said.
Meanwhile, some residents of Chechnya have negatively perceived repressions against families of members of the armed underground and demolition of their houses.
