ICRF starts checking Kadyrov's statement in relation to "certain Kalyapin"
The Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) began checking the statement of the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov about a possible involvement of "a certain Kalyapin" in financing militants.
Igor Kalyapin, the head of the "Committee against Torture" (CaT), who criticized Kadyrov's statements on responsibility of militants' families, has linked the ICRF's activeness with the words of Vladimir Putin that nobody has the right to extrajudicial killings, including the head of Chechnya.
The check of a possible involvement of "a certain Kalyapin" in financing militants is performed by Igor Sobol, an investigator for especially important cases, who has already contacted him, Igor Kalyapin himself told the "Novaya Gazeta".
He expressed his doubts that investigative actions would bring at least some real results, the "Echo Moskvy" reports.
Let us note here that Kadyrov said, while commenting on the Russian President's speech at a press conference, that he is ready to execute any Putin's order.
Let us remind you that on December 6 and 7 six houses of militants' relatives were burned down in Chechnya. These data were confirmed by the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial".
On December 16, Gudermes residents reported the destruction of two private houses, inhabited by relatives of militants killed on December 4.
