Kislovodsk prosecutor's office cancels rejection to open criminal case on threats to Baichorov
The prosecutor's office of the city of Kislovodsk has cancelled the decision not to institute criminal proceedings on the fact of threats received by Imam Kurman-Ali Baichorov, said his advocate Alaudi Musaev.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Kurman-Ali Baichorov is accused of illegal possession of narcotic drugs. Imam rejects the charges and demands disqualification of the court.
According to Musaev, the refusal to institute criminal proceedings was decided by Odarchenko, a district investigator for the city of Kislovodsk. At the interrogation, Odarchenko said that he did not see the flash card with the threats, recorded against Baichorov, said the advocate.
On October 28, Baichorov's defence also received a statement of the military investigating division about the refusal to initiate criminal proceedings against Filatov, an FSB agent. Baichorov's advocates had stated that Filatov abused his powers, used violence and falsified the evidence. The prosecutor's office had found the statement illegal and returned it for elimination of violations; however, on November 7, the investigator again refused to open a criminal case.
