Tsarnaev's classmate confesses of keeping firearms and drugs

Steven Silva, an acquaintance of Johar Tsarnaev, accused of organizing a terror act at the Boston Marathon race, has pled guilty to distributing heroin and illegal possession of firearms. According to the prosecution, Tsarnaev brothers used the pistol, kept by Silva, to kill a policeman.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Steven Silva, an American and Johar's classmate, was arrested on July 22 on suspicion of storing and a pistol of the same model, from which a policeman was killed in Boston.

At the court session on December 19, Silva pled guilty, within his deal with the investigation, under all eight indictment points, seven of which concern distribution of heroin and one – storage of firearms, The Boston Globe reports.

According to investigators, the pistol Ruger P95 with removed serial number, the possession of which was confirmed by Silva, was used a few days after the terror act by Johar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev to shot dead the 26-year-old policeman Sean Collier, the TASS reports. However, according to the investigation, Silva himself was not involved in the terror act.

The sentencing of Silva is scheduled for March 17, 2015, the Boston Herald reports.
