Armenian court takes to consideration appeals in the case of participants of "Million Mask March"
The Armenian Court of Appeal (CoA) took up the appeals lodged against the sentences passed to Shant Arutyunyan, the leader of the "Tseghakron" Party, and other persons involved in the "Million Mask March" and formed a panel of judges. The defence insists on acquittal of all activists.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 17 Arutyunyan, the organizer of the "Million Mask March", was sentenced to six years in prison. Other defendants received punishments ranging from a fine to up to seven years in prison.
Let us note here that the complaint of Sevak Mnatsakanyan, sentenced to eighteen months in prison, was not accepted to consideration by the court "because of incorrect documents," said a relative of Mnatsakanyan.
