Tenth convoy with humanitarian aid reaches Donbas
Today, the convoy of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) with humanitarian aid to residents of Donbas has arrived in Donetsk and Lugansk.
According to the Russian MfE, customs clearance of humanitarian aid took place at border checkpoints "Matveev Kurgan" and "Donetsk". "After that, more than 90 trucks started moving in the direction of Donetsk, and about the same number of trucks drove to the direction of Lugansk," the RIA "Novosti" quotes an MfE official as stating.
According to the MfE, people started unloading the trucks at about 12:30 a.m. Moscow time. "No emergency situations arose on the way," the MfE official said as quoted by the "Interfax".
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that earlier, nine convoys with humanitarian aid were delivered to Donbas from Russia. On December 12, the recent convoy brought to the eastern part of Ukraine more than 1.2 thousand tons of goods. In their turn, the Ukrainian authorities pointed to the illegality of such deliveries.
