In Armenia, activist Vaginak Shushanyan claims being beaten
Vaginak Shushanyan, an activist of the social movement against rise in prices and tariffs, claims he has been attacked in the centre of Yerevan. As a result of the attack, the activist got his lip injured, and no serious consequences resulted from the attack.
The incident occurred in the evening of December 20, and the media published the information about the incident in on December 22.
The activist was attacked by two assailants. According to Vaginak Shushanyan, one of them told him: "Brat, is it you who yesterday used bad language against the president?", the "Epress.am" reports.
According to Vaginak Shushanyan, the incident occurred after the protest action of December 19, the "Echo of the Caucasus" reports.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 19, Yerevan hosted the protest action against the depreciation of the national currency and rise in prices of goods.
