Women from Vremenny fail to enter their settlement, where special operation is underway
Women from the settlement of Vremenny of the Untsukul District of Dagestan, where the special operation is underway, have decided to disperse without waiting for a trip to the village. The women were promised that the headquarters would clarify the possibility for entry to the village. This was reported by a source in the village administration.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 8, the residents of Vremenny reported on their agreement with law enforcers that they would be let into the village to check their property. Today, 30 resident of Vremenny gathered near the rural administration of the village of Gimry to travel to their home village. However, it turned out that the law enforcers with representatives of the district and village administrations have already left for the village without them.
On September 18, residents of the settlement of Vremenny adjacent to the village of Gimry reported that their village was blocked by law enforcers. The villagers also reported that the law enforcers went around households and that men were taken out of the village for identification. The local residents have also claimed that school and kindergarten do not work in the village anymore, there is a shortage of food products, and the law enforcers destroy farm buildings.
According to a woman from the village blocked by the law enforcers, "none of the promises made by the local administration is satisfied."
The residents of Vremenny intend to appeal to human rights organizations. They also plan to travel to Makhachkala to get a legal advice about what rights they have. This has been told by one more woman from Vremenny, who temporarily lived at her relatives' place in Gimry.
