Residents of central Makhachkala succeed in restoring electricity supply

The residents of Makhachkala, who yesterday blocked Yaragskiy Street in protest against electricity outages in their homes, have reported today about restoration of electricity supplies.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 4, at about 9 in the morning, residents of central Makhachkala blocked Yaragskiy Street stating absence of electricity in their homes for several days. The action lasted for about two hours and was dispersed by policemen.

Electricity supply was restored on August 4, around 7:00 p.m. local time, locals have reported.

"However, the voltage is low – below the standard; and still, from time to time, they switch electricity off for half an hour or an hour," Magomedali Ibragimov, a resident of a house in Nuradilov   Street, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The participants of the August 4 action stated their intention to go on with protest actions if electricity outages continue.
