Two workers injured at building site of "Volgograd Arena" Stadium
In Volgograd, in the territory of the stadium under construction in preparation for the Football World Cup, workers were seriously injured as a result of the collapse of metal frameworks.
According to an official from the investigating bodies of the region, the incident occurred on November 7. When metal frameworks collapsed in the sector "D", four workers were at the stadium, and two of them were hospitalized with injuries.
Two men, 26 and 30 years old, fell victims to the collapse of the metal frameworks. One of them was diagnosed with spinal fracture and brain concussion. Another builder got bruises, and his arms and legs were broken, the portal "Height 102.0." reports with reference to an official from the investigating bodies of the region.
According to the preliminary information, the workers got injured in the collapse of the metal frameworks of the elevator shaft of the stadium under construction, the "Komsomolskaya Pravda in Volgograd" reports.
