Advocate Kheirula Shabanov arrested in Dagestan
Today, the Sovietsky District Court of Makhachkala has ruled to arrest for two months the advocate Kheirula Shabanov, suspected of financing members of an illegal armed formation (IAF).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that some advocate was detained in Dagestan, who is suspected of involvement in an IAF, as well as of giving 50,000 roubles to militants.
"Shabanov has been placed in custody for two months, but the charge brought against him has not been presented," said Rasul Temirbekov, the spokesman of the Investigating Department (ID) for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).
So far, the deprivation of Shabanov of his lawyer’s status is out of question, said Akif Bekhbudov, the Chairman of the Bar Association of Dagestan.
Let us note here that Shabanov was not a member of the Bar Association; he had his own lawyer's office.
