Two persons detained on suspicion of shelling director of House of Culture in Dagestan

Suspects are reported in the case of injury of the director of the House of Culture in the village of Karabudakhkent. They are two bodyguards of the head of the Karabudakhkent District of Dagestan, reports a source of the "Chernovik" (Draft). According to the source, both suspects are detained.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night of June 14, unidentified persons shelled the director of the House of Culture of Karabudakhkent when he was getting into his car. The man has been hospitalized, and his life is not in danger.

The 42-year-old man got four bullets. The attackers opened fire from a car on the wanted list, the "Interfax-Yug" reports with reference to a source from the law enforcement bodies.

Arslanali Bakhriev, the injured director of the House of Culture, has told the "Chernovik" that the car from which he was shelled, belonged to family members of the head of the Karabudakhkent District, and that investigators have already summoned the head of the Karabudakhkent District for questioning.

The events of the past night may be connected with the incident of March 25, 2011, when Djabrail, a cousin of Arslanali Bakhriev, was killed as a result of the conflict among local residents, the "Chernovik" reports. The edition also reports that one of the detainees has earlier criminal record and was a cellmate of Djabrail Bakhriev, sentenced for the murder.
