North-Ossetian Company popularizes Ossetian language

The "Frostway" Company has started selling ice cream "Stary Gorod" (Old Town), which packaging depicts the buildings of the historical centre of Vladikavkaz. 20% of proceeds from the sale of the products will be sent to finance translation of popular cartoons into the Ossetian language.

Employees of the "Frostway" Company faced the challenge to create a product for the local population, which would be of social significance. That is why the packaging of ice cream, produced by the "Frostway" Company, depicts the buildings of old Vladikavkaz. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Alina Kabolova, a brand manager of the "Frostway" Company.

"I guess that at present, the centre of Vladikavkaz is similar to European cities. I believe it is the highlight of our city, and we decided to use that," Alina Kabolova has explained.

5 roubles from the sale of each cup of ice cream will be transferred to finance the translation of the cartoons. In total, according to Alina Kabolova, 20% of the proceeds will be used to finance the translation of the popular cartoons into the Ossetian language.

"At present, the Ossetian language is going through a serious crisis. It is a dying language, which can be saved through systemic work. We should engage people starting from their childhood. That is why the idea with the cartoons received a response and urged the people to take part in it," Alina Kabolova has noted.
