Rizvan Ibragimov reports on law enforcers' attempt to bring him to Makhachkala

In Chechnya, the court has pronounced the decision to send publicist Rizvan Ibragimov to Makhachkala for compulsory psychiatric examination. According to Rizvan Ibragimov, today, even before the court decision comes into force, the law enforcers have made an unsuccessful attempt to take him to the clinic.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in July, in Chechnya, the court agreed with the Prosecutor's Office and found extremist content in the Rizvan Ibragimov's books "The message of the people of Nokhchi", "Palestine? No, Chechnya", "The Jewish people are not who they claim to be", and "The mystery of the ancestry of the Prophets". Rizvan Ibragimov is accused of "inciting hatred or hostility, and humiliation of human dignity."

Publicists Rizvan Ibragimov and Aslambek Didiev whose books were condemned by the Chechen theologians and authorities were detained on April 1. On April 5, the publicists were released. However, before their release, they were invited by Ramzan Kadyrov, and both detainees brought public apologies to the scientific community and religious figures of Chechnya.

Under the court decision, Rizvan Ibragimov "is to be brought to a mental hospital for a period of 30 days for inpatient psychological and psychiatric examination."

According to Rizvan Ibragimov, the court gave him 10 days to appeal against the decision. However, the law enforcers have "arrived today to take him to Makhachkala." On his Facebook page, Rizvan Ibragimov has announced his intention to file a complaint to the Prosecutor's Office of Chechnya against the law enforcers' actions.
