Opposition supporter beaten in Armenia

Arutyun Aglamazyan, a supporter of the opposition movement "Constituent Parliament", has been attacked. He was hospitalized to the medical centre "Erebuni", the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

According to the "Constituent Parliament", three unidentified persons ambushed Arutyun Aglamazyan near his house and severely beat him.

"He is hospitalized to the medical centre 'Erebuni', where he is undergoing the medical examination," states the report, which has been posted today at 0:55 a.m. Yerevan time on the page of the "Constituent Parliament" on Facebook.

According to the report, earlier, straight from his working place, Arutyun Aglamazyan has been brought for questioning as a witness to the Special Investigating Service of Armenia.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by one of the supporters of the opposition movement that after the arrest of members of the armed group "Sasna Tsrer" (Daredevils of Sassoun), involved in the seizure of the police regiment building, Arutyun Aglamazyan acted as a coordinator of protests held in their support.
