Residents of Dagestan urge authorities to respond to murder of Gasanguseinov brothers
The authorities of Dagestan are to respond to the murder of two local residents in the village of Goor-Khindakh of the Shamil District. This was stated by residents of Dagestan interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot". The topic associated with the incident in the Shamil District still remains one of the most often discussed in the Dagestan segment of the social network Facebook.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that according to the law enforcement bodies, on August 23, two members of the "Shamil" grouping of militants were killed in a shootout in one of the gorges of the Shamil District. The killed suspects were identified as the Gasanguseinov brothers. According to the villagers, the killed men were shepherds, and there was no information about their possible involvement in the armed underground.
According to Gitin Asadulaev, a resident of Makhachkala, a director of a commercial company, the lack of reaction of the Dagestani authorities "generates impunity for law enforcers."
"These days, in Dagestan, wherever you go, this topic is one of the most discussed ones. All people condemn the actions of law enforcers when they open fire for effect without warning," believes Gitin Asadulaev. He continues: "Meanwhile, the people are most dissatisfied with the fact that the Dagestani authorities once again keep silence. What for do we need such a power that cannot stand up for its citizens?"
Napisat Rashidova, an economist from Khasavyurt, has noted that the Dagestani authorities "live its own separate life, without coming down to what is happening around."
"The head of the Shamil District should have been the first to make a statement. And I say nothing of the fact that the leader of the republic should have demanded to carry out an investigation into the incident. However, that never happened," said Napisat Rashidova.
