On January 2-8, no victims were recorded in armed conflict in Northern Caucasus

During the week from January 2 to January 8, 2017, in the course of the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus no casualties and victims were recorded. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

Detentions

On December 31, 2016, Sirazhudin Akhmedov, a resident of the city of Kaspiysk, born in 1970, departed in his car towards the cafe at No. 5 in Mira Street in Kaspiysk, where he had made am order. Forty minutes elapsed, but he had not come to pick up his order; his both mobile phones were silent. His relatives were told at the police that on that day employees of the Centre to Counter Extremism were carrying out preventive measures and took all the persons, who were listed in the so-called "prophylactic registry", were detained and brought to the police station. On January 1, relatives managed to find out that Akhmedov was kept at the GOVD (City Interior Department) of Kaspiysk, since, allegedly, a grenade was found on him at the search. The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan confirmed the detention of Akhmedov.

Disappearance

On December 21, 2016, Alvi Khakimov, a 24-year-old resident of the dwelling settlement of Nikolaevskaya, the Naur District of Chechnya, went to work and never came back. His mobile phone was switched off. Since then, no information about his whereabouts has been reported. His relatives sent messages to the WhatsApp and turned to law enforcement bodies.
