Soldier killed in Nagorno-Karabakh

Today, the serviceman Artak Rafaelyan has received a mortal wound after a shot from the Azerbaijani side, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today the MoD of the NKR has stated that overnight the Azerbaijani party had violated the ceasefire in the conflict zone by using small arms and sniper rifles. In its turn, Azerbaijan has accused Armenia of 130 bombardments within the last 24 hours.

According to the MoD of the NKR, the incident occurred today at about 1:00 p.m. local time.

"On the defensive section of the contact line in the eastern direction, as a result of a shot from the Azerbaijani side, Artak Edikovich Rafaelyan, born in 1997, a soldier of the Defence Army, was mortally wounded," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told at the press officer of the MoD.
