Ninth suspect in case of explosion in Saint Petersburg metro detained

The ninth suspect of involvement in organizing the terror act in Saint Petersburg was detained in the Odintsovo District of the Moscow Region, the FSB Public Relations Centre has reported.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that the explosion in Saint Petersburg’s metro occurred on April 3, resulting in 15 casualties, including the alleged suicide bomber.

The explosion was treated by law enforcers as a terror act. It could be prepared by Zalim Shebzukhov, one of the leaders of North-Caucasian militants, or by his supporters, the experts, interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot", have suggested. A native of Kyrgyzstan, who is a citizen of the Russian Federation, is suspected of organizing the explosion.

The detainee is Arbor Azimov, a native of Central Asia, was born in 1990. According to the FSB, he was training the suicide bomber Akbardjon Djalilov.
