Volunteer of Alexei Navalny's office in Rostov accused of involvement in unsanctioned action

The police have drawn up an administrative protocol against student Timofei Martynenko, an activist of the Alexei Navalny's office, in connection with his participation in the action on March 26.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 26, Rostov-on-Don, like several other Russian cities, hosted an anticorruption action held with the demand to investigate the information about corruption among top-ranking officials, voiced by the Alexei Navalny's Anti-Corruption Foundation. According to organizers of the Rostov rally, about 1000 people took part in the event and at least 15 participants of the action were later fined.

On May 25, Timofei Martynenko, a student of the Southern Federal University (SFU), was taken away by law enforcers for questioning straight from a lecture, the "Radio Rostov" reports.

Timofei Martynenko himself was one of the activists who delivered speeches at the rally.

The activist has provoked the interest from the police one day before the two-month statute of limitations on administrative cases that could be instituted in connection with the events of March 26, the "Novoe Delo" reports.
