In Makhachkala, all the detained participants of the anticorruption rally were released on the same day. Two of them and an organizer of the rally are accused of violating the procedure for holding the rally, and another participant of the rally is charged of disorderly conduct.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 27, a rally was held in Makhachkala which gathered more than 300 people. Eyewitnesses claimed the detention of Abdulla Gabibulaev, Zagalav Somoev, Patimat Gadjieva, and Luiza Suleimanova.
Participants of the rally criticized the activities of the Dagestani authorities and reported the problems of immigrants and kidnappings.
According to Ruslan Ibragimgadjiev, the acting head of the press service of the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the participants of the action were released in several hours.
Zagalav Somoev believes that he did not violate the laws, but only came up with "objective criticism of the Dagestani Minister of Internal Affairs."
Abdulla Gabibulaev, a former member of the charity organization "Pure Heart", was also released.
"Abdulla Gabibulaev was detained prior to the rally. He violated public order and used bad language," stated Ruslan Ibragimgadjiev.
The police also drew up a protocol against Nurmagomed Gazimagomedov, an organizer of the rally, the leader of the public organization "For Justice and Unity", for violation of administrative order, although the activist was not detained.
"I was informed that I did not have a distinctive sign of an organizer of a public event," noted Nurmagomed Gazimagomedov.
