Ramzan Kadyrov invites Russian and foreign journalists to Chechnya

Ramzan Kadyrov has invited journalists to Chechnya after Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), requested him to organize a trip for a Finnish journalist who asked about the situation of gays in Chechnya.

On May 31, Ramzan Kadyrov criticized speakers who, according to him, distort the situation in Chechnya, but do not wish to come to the republic to see everything with their own eyes.

"It is funny that members of the European community are not interested in the war in the East, global warming, problems in their own countries, but tales about Chechnya are very attractive for them," Ramzan Kadyrov wrote in his Telegram.

It should be noted that the above record was made by the leader of Chechnya on the same day following the Maria Zakharova's appeal to him with a request to organize a trip for a correspondent of a Finnish TV Channel, interested in the problem of persecution of homosexuals in the region.

Maria Zakharova has recommended the journalist not to politicize the issue.

Let us remind you that on May 30, Ramzan Kadyrov invited French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel to visit Chechnya and personally assess the situation with the rights of sexual minorities in the republic.
