According to investigators' version, he wounded five policemen from a pneumatic pistol. Advocates of Hayk Kuregyan filed a complaint to the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR).

Today, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been informed by Gor Glechyan, the chief of the press service for the Criminal Penitentiary Department of the Armenian Ministry of Justice, that Hayk Kuregyan declared hunger strike on September 13.

According to the Gor Glechyan's report, while declaring the hunger strike, Hayk Kuregyan did not specify the reason for it.
