Residents of Nagorno-Karabakh present their products at pomegranate festival

Today, more than 55 pavilions have been opened at the first grenade festival in the Martuni District of Nagorno-Karabakh. Agricultural workers and gardeners from the Martuni, Gadrut, and Kashatag Districts have presented their products at the festival.

According to Martuni Mayor Mher Khachatryan, the festival's goal is "to encourage farmers who grow pomegranates and other products and to promote the tourists' interest in the area."

The festival was held as an exhibition and fair of pomegranates and other agricultural products, as well as applied arts. A concert of national songs and dances was performed for guests of the event, in which performers from Armenia were involved.

Kaitser Pogosyan, an entrepreneur from the town of Martuni, has noted that "it is much more profitable to grow pomegranate orchards than, for example, wheat fields." According to him, such festivals are a good opportunity for farmers to sell their products.
