Relatives of Volgograd schoolchildren see no problems in scandalous song about Putin
A video with participation of State Duma MP Anna Kuvychko and cadets was shot with the consent of the cadets' parents, reported the school principal. According to survey, residents of Volgograd do not see any problems in the song, despite a wave of criticism in social networks. Political consultants criticized the idea of the video.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Anna Kuvychko, a State Duma MP from the Volgograd Region, recorded a video with schoolchildren, where children sang about their willingness to be led by President Vladimir Putin in the last battle. Children should not be involved in recording of songs about the willingness to fight, wrote participants of the discussions in social networks. Meanwhile, other social network users argued that children should be taught patriotism from the very small age.
Nina Boldyreva, Children's Ombudsperson in the Volgograd Region, found no violations in involvement of the children in the video. She has noted she is concerned about "a chase against the video with involvement of children."
Vitaly Arkov, the leader of the expert-analytical network "PolitRUS", has noted the cadets performed the song sincerely. According to him, the faces of the children prove they "sing the song with enthusiasm."
Alexander Saigin, Deputy Director of the Institute for Regional Studies of the Southern Federal District (SFD), drew attention to a different interpretation of the concept of "patriotism" in Russia.
"It is clear the children were not forced to sing. They are cadets, they 'consume patriotism with spoons' and they are happy about that. This is a kind of patriotism as understood by ordinary people," said Alexander Saigin.
Dmitry Fetisov, the director of the consulting agency "NPR Group", has called the video a contribution to "turning the presidential campaign into a performance of clowns."
