Chechen law enforcers: missing schoolboy not involved in terrorist activities

A teenager is wanted as a disappeared person, and the information about his involvement in preparation of terror acts was published by mistake, the law enforcement bodies explained to the schoolboy's relatives.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the schoolboy's family members suggested law enforcers were involved in the disappearance on December 7 of the teenager, whose brother left for Syria. Social network groups associated with the law enforcement bodies have published the information that the teenager had been allegedly involved in the preparation of terror acts.

On December 19, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by a teenager's sister that the whereabouts of the schoolboy was still unknown.

The teenager's father has noted that according to the law enforcement bodies, the information about the teenager as a possible terrorist was spread by mistake. "When I asked them they said that it was a mistake. They said they would remove the information. [According to the law enforcers], he is in Chechnya. They do not want to disclose the information to avoid prevention of the investigation. They did not detain him. In Chechnya, they sent information bulletins to all the checkpoints, and [they are simply looking for the boy] as a disappeared person. And we also hung announcements about the search for our boy," the schoolboy's father told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
