On December 21, at the checkpoint "Verkhny Lars" in North Ossetia, border guards detained a foreigner suspected of involvement in terrorist activities.
The young man is a native of one of the South-Caucasian countries. For a long time, he lived in Russia, and several years ago he went abroad. The law enforcement bodies have already launched an investigation to verify the detainee's contacts regarding possible involvement of his acquaintances in any unlawful activities.
The border guards have reported the detention of the suspect to law enforcers in his homeland where the man will be sent in the near future. This was reported on December 21 by the portal "15th Region" with reference to the press service of the Russian FSB Border Guard Service Department for North Ossetia.
