IC: suspect accused of killing Russian soldier in Armenia confesses to his sympathy for IS

The investigation into the murder of soldier Dmitry Yalpaev in Gyumri has been completed. Defendant Arman Djandjugazyan has called himself to be a supporter of the terrorist grouping "Islamic State" (IS, banned in Russia).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 22, 2017, Dmitry Yalpaev's body was found near the 102nd Russian military base.

According to the investigators' information, a 20-year-old resident of the city of Stepanavan inflicted fatal stab wounds on Dmitry Yalpaev. The suspect was motivated by religious fanatic ideas.
