Ramzan Kadyrov's plenipotentiary for Ukraine to stay under arrest

On April 5, the Presnya Court of Moscow extended until May 11 the arrest of Ramzan Tsitsulaev, the former plenipotentiary of the Chechen leader in Ukraine.

Ramzan Tsitsulaev is accused of fraud and violence against a public official, as well as of organizing kidnapping of a person and extortion of money. His advocate claims Ramzan Tsitsulaev is not guilty.

According to the Security Service of Ukraine (known as SBU), in September 2017, Ramzan Tsitsulaev returned to the country with a new Russian passport.

The defence has noted that the former plenipotentiary of Chechnya was engaged in rescuing Russian citizens from the territory of Ukraine.

Besides, he suffers from a chronic decease, and he cares of 12 minor children, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

Let us remind you that Ramzan Tsitsulaev worked as a plenipotentiary of the Chechen leader in Ukraine since June 2010. According to unofficial information, in the spring of 2014, he was engaged in the release of LifeNews journalists from captivity.

According to a questioning of Chechen residents held by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, they are not aware of the Ramzan Tsitsulaev's activities.

Ramzan Tsitsulaev served in the army in Ukraine, reports Khasan, a resident of the Urus-Martan District, familiar with the Tsitsulaev family.
