In Baku, skyscraper catches fire

Today, a fire has started on upper floors of a 130-metre skyscraper in Baku, known as Trump Tower Baku. The 13-20th floors of the 33-storey building were on fire. Meanwhile, the fire affected only the facade of the skyscraper.

Fire-fighters managed to extinguish the fire, and it did not penetrate inside the building, the "Interfax" reports.

According to the news agency, the fire was localized and then completely extinguished at about 2:00 p.m.

The "Interfax" reports the skyscraper ceased to be called Trump Tower Baku after Donald Trump was elected the President of the United States in 2016.

During the fire, the plastic lining of the skyscraper was burned out, the "Report.az" reports.

One man was poisoned by smoke, and his condition is severe, the RIA "Novosti" reports with reference to Azer Magsudov, the head of the Toxicology Department at the Clinical Medical Centre.
