Parliament of Chechnya votes for three terms for President Putin

Today, delegates of the Chechen Parliament have unanimously voted to submit to the State Duma a bill on three presidential terms in a row instead of two.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in April, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov proposed to allow the President to hold office not for two, but three terms in a row, so that Vladimir Putin could be re-elected for a new term in 2024.

Following the results of the election held on March 18, 2018, Vladimir Putin became the President of Russia for the fourth time. In 2000 and 2004, Vladimir Putin was elected the President for a four-year term. In 2012, he was again elected the President, but for six years. The amendments to the Constitution, proposed by Ramzan Kadyrov, will allow Vladimir Putin to rule until 2030.
