Abduction in Kabardino-Balkaria
Rasul Kudayev, a former Guantanamo prisoner was abducted in Nalchik, Kabardino-Balkaria, Geidar Jemal, leader of the Islamic Committee of Russia, says. People in masks and camouflage uniforms seized Kudayev in the presence of his mother and sister and brought him away without indicating the destination, according to his information. "I think Kudayev will be tortured, but he is very ill and will not be able to stand torture," Jemal said.
"This is an example of Latin-American style abductions in this country. They are carried out without an authorisation, order or legal support, but at the same time, they are obviously inspired by official law enforcement and security agencies," Jemal said in a broadcast of Radio Echo of Moscow.
