In Dagestan, factory workers complain about suspension of production
The operation of the Dagestani factory "Marabi" for the production of tiles and ceramic granite stones has been suspended, and 90 employees, to whom the factory owed 4.6 million roubles, were sent on leave. Workers of the factory complained about unpaid leave and about the difficulty in finding another job. They associated the problems of the factory with the arrest of Abdusamad Gamidov, former Prime Minister of Dagestan.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in January 2017, the "Marabi" Company put into operation a factory for the production of floor tiles and ceramic bricks in the Kumtorkala District of Dagestan. According to the press service for the leader and the government of Dagestan, the factory had 100 permanent jobs.
In the autumn of 2017, the factory had wage arrears, but after an appeal to the "Caucasian Knot" SMS service the debts were repaid.
In November 2017, employees of the "Marabi" factory complained that they could not get paid for September and October and before that they had to go on two-month unpaid leave.
On February 6, in Moscow, Abdusamad Gamidov, his deputies Shamil Isaev and Rayudin Yusufov, and Shakhabas Shakhov, former Minister of Education, were arrested on the charge of fraud on a large scale.
According to the spokesperson for the "Marabi" factory, the main reason for suspension of the production was problems with an Italian partner of the company, who found the staff unable to cope with the tasks defined.
