"Transparency International" calculates Ramzan Kadyrov's income from horse racing

In the period from 2014 to 2018, horses officially owned by Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov brought him more than 98 million roubles in prize money, the "Transparency International Russia" reported. All information about incomes is reflected in the Ramzan Kadyrov's tax declaration, reports Alvi Karimov, the press secretary for the leader of Chechnya.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 13, 2017, Ramzan Kadyrov reported that Dubai crown prince Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum presented him a horse as a gift. The "Transparency International" is interested in the fate of the horse and noted that its value significantly exceeds the allowable amount of gifts that an official can accept.

"Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov owns 128 expensive horses," reports the "Transparency International Russia" in its investigation.

"In the period from 2014 to 2018, Ramzan Kadyrov's horses brought him 98,126,504 roubles. According to our calculations, the horses of Ramzan Kadyrov earned 3.3 times more than the leader of Chechnya himself," the "Transparency International Russia" notes.
