Son reports hospitalization of Zarema Musaeva
Zarema Musaeva's health condition in the Argun penal colony where she is kept, has worsened sharply; she lost the ability to move, after which she was hospitalized, Abubakar Yangulbaev, a lawyer and one of Zarema's son, has informed.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Musaeva's health condition in the above colony in Argun was deteriorating, and her dose of painkillers was increased. Musaeva was examined at hospital, but is not receiving adequate treatment, her advocate reported on April 9. On April 19, her defence stated that medical commission doctors deprived Musaeva of a chance for conditional early relief (CER), diagnosing her with a milder form of her disease.
On March 28, the advocate reported that Musaeva's vision had deteriorated sharply, and she also developed severe pains. In fact, she is being held hostage by Chechen authorities, human rights defenders then pointed out.
"I was informed that my mother's condition has deteriorated sharply and she cannot move even on crutches ... She is on the way to hospital," Abubakar Yangulbaev wrote in his Telegram channel.
Abubakar has noted that he is blamed for the deterioration of his mother's health.
"I'm not the one keeping her in jail, but I understand that I bear responsibility. (...) Just stop torturing an elderly woman with chronic diseases," he has added.
Back in January 2023, Abubakar Yangulbaev suggested to put him in jail instead of his mother. Russia has put him on the wanted list and on the list of terrorists and extremists, like his other two brothers, Ibragim and Baisangur.
