A resident of Ingushetia suspected of kidnapping a young woman

A suspect forced a 24-year-old woman from Malgobek into his car and took her away to some unknown destination, reported investigators. According to a source, the young man intends to marry the woman he has kidnapped.

"On December 13, the suspect forced the young woman against her will into his car and illegally kept her on the territory of the Malgobek District," reports the Department for Ingushetia of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

The kidnapping of the young woman was reported to the police by her brother, the press service for the Ingush Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reports. The car was detained, and the young woman was handed over to her relatives.

Let us remind you that on April 26, 2017, the Parliament for the Republic of Ingushetia introduced to the State Duma a bill providing for responsibility for kidnapping a bride. The initiative was criticized by Ingush leader Yunus-Bek Evkurov. He has explained the law already provides for criminal liability for kidnapping a person.

  • Compensation decrease for illegal prosecution violates rights of KBR resident

The court ruling, which awarded Madin Gubzhokov compensation of 30,000 roubles for unlawful criminal prosecution, is incomparable with the moral harm caused by the actions of Azamat Kyaov, a former law enforcer.
