Azerbaijan counts shelling of six villages

During the last 24 hours, positions of the Azerbaijani Army were shelled for 22 times, including those stationed on the border with Armenia, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has reported today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 27, Azerbaijan reported on machine-gun fire in the conflict zone, counting 29 violations of the truce.

"During the past 24 hours, the units of the Armenian Armed Forces, by using large-calibre machine guns, violated the ceasefire regime in different sections of the frontline for 22 times," the report posted on the Azeri MoD's website has stated today.

According to the MoD, the positions of the Azerbaijani army deployed in the village of Kokhnegyshlag of the Agstafa District, in the villages of Kemerli, Mezem and Djafarli, Gazakh District, of Agdam and Mundjuglu of the Tovuz District, were shelled. Two out of these three districts – the Gazakh and Tovuz ones – are bordering on Armenia.
