During the week from April 15 to April 21, there was one report about the detention of a Chechen resident for having links with militants in Karachay-Cherkessia. On April 17, border guards detained the man on suspicion of assisting terrorists after he tried to recruit his fellow countryman into the ranks of the "Islamic State" (IS), a terrorist organization banned in Russia by the court, the FSB Directorate for Karachay-Cherkessia reported.
