Teachers of Tbilisi university in Georgia forced out of the building

More than 20 professors and lecturers were forced out of Tbilisi state university building by Georgian police on Tuesday night. The teachers were holding an act of protest against the university reform which envisaged, in particular, a reduction of the full-time teachers by more than half.

The protesting professors intend to hold a meeting on Tuesday in front of the university building, demanding that the dismissals should be suspended and Georgi Khubua, university president, should resign, reports Interfax.

For reference, civil workers in the sphere of education of Georgia have already launched numerous protests against government initiated reforms.
