Armenia: journalist injured at rally of Kocharyan's opponents

The sound operator of the "Para.tv" edition was stabbed during a rally of the opponents of the second Armenian President Robert Kocharyan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 18, the court released Kocharyan on the bail provided by the incumbent and former presidents of Nagorno-Karabakh. Kocharyan's opponents met his release with protests. The Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan, who came to power after the "velvet revolution", in response to Kocharyan's release, called for blocking courthouses.

According to the "Tert.am", on May 25, the organizers of the march declared support for the Pashinyan's initiative to reform the judicial system and demanded that Kocharyan be arrested again.

The editorial board of the "Para.tv" has reported on the Facebook that their employee was injured. He is now in hospital, but there is no threat to his life.
