Head of administration of the Datykh settlement in Ingushetia detained

On May 24, Magomed Padiyev, head of administration of the Datykh settlement in Ingushetia, and his bother have been detained, reports the "Svoboda" radio.

The detained persons are suspected of abetting militants. The head of administration and his brother have been handed over to the police officers of Urus-Martan district of Chechnya, who took them to Urus-Martan, reports "Ingushetia.Ru"

The local residents are dissatisfied with the actions of law-enforcement agencies. They think that the Padiyevs have been unlawfully detained. They are indignant with the fact that the head of administration, i.e. the functionary appointed to the post by Murat Ziazikov, President of Ingushetia, has been taken to Chechnya.
