Chief federal inspector for Stavropol Territory inspected Kochubej colony

Today, on April 21, Sergey Golovanev, prosecutor of the Stavropol Territory, has inspected, together with Alexander Korobeinikov, Chief Federal Inspector for the Stavropol Territory of the machinery of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the South Federal District, the observance of the requirements of the law at enforcement of criminal punishments at the Federal State Institution - Corrective Colony No. 2 of the Administration of the Federal Punishment Enforcement Service for the Stavropol Territory, located in the Kochubej village of the Kochubej District.

They have informed at the press service of the prosecutor's office of the Stavropol Territory that during their visit to the Colony, the high officials checked the legality of bringing the convicts to disciplinary responsibility, observance of the legal requirements on material-communal and medical-sanitary support of the inmates. The prosecutor and chief federal inspector made a walk-around of the hostels where the convicts live, the canteen and kitchen, rooms for long meetings, imprisonment and penalty insulator cells, and the medical unit. When on tour, they talked with the inmates on their custody conditions.

Presently, a total of 1085 convicts for especially heavy crimes in the form of deprivation of freedom are serving their sentences, and also the persons, who had served their deprivation of freedom earlier. The inspection has revealed no violations of requirements of the law in the Colony. Also, there were no complaints expressed on any illegal actions by the administration towards the inmates.
