Dagestan released the man accused of an attempt on Amuchi Amutinov

Yesterday, on May 3, the Kizilyurt District Court released by its decision made under Article 79 of the CCRF on conditional early relief terms from the colony-settlement Gazimagomed Gairbekov, who was sentenced on August 9, 2005, by the Leninskiy District Court of the capital of Chechnya Grozny under Part 2 of Article 222 of the CCRF to 2.5 years of deprivation of freedom.

We remind you that back on February 9, Gazimagomed Gairbekov was acquitted by the Supreme Court of Dagestan, together with three other suspects (his brother Magomed, their cousin Askhabali Gazimagomedov and Omari Alilov), of two attempts on Amuchi Amutinov, head of a branch of the Pension Fund of the Republic of Dagestan. On that case, the prosecutor's office demanded live sentence for brothers Gazimagomed and Magomed Gairbekovs, and 20 years in prison for Omari Alilov and Askhabali Gazimagomedov each.

During the court proceedings on attempts on Amutinov, a criminal case was initiated on Gazimagomed Gairbekov in Chechnya with charges of participation in illegal armed formations. According to Gairbekov, whose words are given by the "Chernovik" (Draft) newspaper, he was detained only because he was close to the militants during liberation of Zaira Kuramagomedova, for the sake of whose salvation he went to Chechnya, since "her father addressed me to help him, as she was under death threat in case of non-payment of ransom for her. And I had to go to Chechnya, search her and take direct part in her liberation," Gairbekov stated.
