Ural resident publicly apologizes for his phrase about Chechen natives
According to a video posted on YouTube, in his conversation with natives of Chechnya, Dmitry Kuprin, a resident of the Chelyabinsk Region, apologized for posting his video with offensive attacks against the Chechen people.
The video entitled "National Guard fighter Kuprin apologizes to the Chechen people" was posted on the "Zelimkhan" YouTube channel at night on February 3.
It follows from the explanations for the video that "being in a state of alcoholic intoxication," Dmitry Kuprin voiced phrases that could be perceived as insults to Muslims, as well as to the Chechen people and Chechen women.
Dmitry Kuprin himself apologizes for his statement and explains that he voiced insulting remarks with regard to Muslims out of ignorance, and not out of a desire to insult believers.
"I apologize to all Chechen women. And I ask everyone not to re-post my video to avoid provocation of anger in the future," Dmitry Kuprin said.
By 12:25 a.m. Moscow time, the video gained 11,900 views, 717 likes, 196 dislikes, and 341 comments were posted under it.
Some commentators found the incident settled and noted that Dmitry Kuprin made insulting statements under the influence of alcoholic drinks. Others did not believe the National Guard fighter's apology and called for "punishing" him.
