Regular soldier dies in military unit of Nagorno-Karabakh

On February 9, a 19-year-old soldier of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defence Army was found unconscious in one of the military units. He died in a hospital.

Private Valery Petrosyan was called up for service in the Stepanakert military registration and enlistment office, the "Sputnik-Armenia" reports.

According to the monitoring conducted by the Helsinki Citizens' Assembly Vanadzor Office, 630 soldiers of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh deceased in the period from 2010 to November 11, 2019. 381 deaths were non-combat losses. During the above period, 88 suicides were committed in the army. The largest number of suicides was registered in 2016, when it reached 13.
