Moscow City Court will reconsider Paul Khlebnikov's murder

The case of the murder of Paul Khlebnikov will be considered again at the Moscow City Court - by a new court staff, the Radio Liberty reports.

Today, the Supreme Court has vacated an acquittal sentence to two Chechnya natives - Musa Vakhaev and Kazbek Dukuzov, having detected procedural violations.

Paul Khlebnikov was killed in Moscow on July 9, 2004. The convicts on the case were two Chechens - Musa Vakhaev and Kazbek Dukuzov, and Fail Sadretdinov, a Moscow notary. The investigators' version ran that the journalist was murdered by the members of an organized criminal group comprised of Chechnya residents Dukuzov, his brother Magomed Dukuzov, Vakhaev, Magomed Edilsultanov and others. The investigation also reported that had established also the customer of Khlebnikov's murder - Hozh-Ahmed Nukhaev.
